how the legend died

some stories often read

some spoken softly instead

glory sent to transcend

this unparalleled legend

forever to be told

never to grow old

based in truth

sparked by youth

forged in blood

a ruby red bud

of tortured disgrace

polluting the humane race

crushed beneath the feet

like winter wheat

hung until dried

this was how the legend died

  1. Dude! These are always great! I know a generic comment of praise, but seriously, sometime in the not-so-close future if you’d like to collaberate some kind of poem/art book, or online pics of typography to your poems! Id really be down to draw to it!

    • haven’t thought seriously enough about it before, it’s always just a thought in the back of my mind, but after my book comes out in the next few months, maybe I’ll think about the poetry book….and I’ll let ya know. thank you tho for the comments. and ps…I’m a dudette! lol 🙂

  2. My dear sis, getting work schedule in order ,and finally new computer …took me just about a month, like I had to build computer not simply just go and get it…will write you this week 🙂

  3. This was a nice tribute to the flora. What was that line about -polluting the human race? Wonder if punctuation would have made some difference in understanding the arrangement of your thoughts, in this particular piece.
