Winter Waves

winter grey storming wrath

wooden faces sheared apart

wails of gales crashing ashore

wildness fills its soul with peace

watchet darkens to indigo blue

windbound wherry’s tied tight

winsome moments fleeing sand

windthrow kneeling deserted trees

weedy visions of lonely drifters

wave after wave of empty loss

windswept currents rise a peek

while seals whip and dance

whitecaps crest in foaming peaks

whirling ridges heaving a surge

wayfaring tides sinking brine

wakes with seeming no chance
